★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 9,326 reviews · 10 hours (approx.) · from $45Our pick

Spend about 10 hours leaving Split for Krka National Park, wooden waterfall paths, a river boat, Skradin free time, and Sladic Winery in Plastovo. Guides such as Gabriella, Sanja, Lovro, and Ivana are praised for clear timing and lively local stories. Park entry is extra and paid in cash.

“Luka was a great guide with amazing, cool energy and an easygoing but attentive attitude. His guide to Dalmatian history during the first leg of the tour up to Skradin was excellently - accurate, relatable, friendly and full of genuine stories. The wine-tasting (which could also be purchased separately for 8 EUR) was fantastic, with friendly guides from the winery with a selection of genuinely local cheese, ham and 4 wines. The Krka NP itself was fantastic - a gorgeous place to casually explore, unwind, meditate and make friends for around 2.5 hrs.”

2.Blue cave, Mamma Mia and Hvar, 5 islands speedboat tour

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 7,150 reviews · 10 to 12 hours (approx.) · from $111

Spend 10 to 12 hours racing from Split or Trogir to Biševo, Vis, Stiniva, Budikovac and Hvar. You get a small boat, English-speaking crew, snorkeling gear and Blue Cave skip-the-line service, but expect spray, wind and a very bumpy ride.

“I was looking forward to the Blue cave trip. It was canceled abruptly. The other islands were not that exciting and were very ordinary because the beach was rocky. What I really hated was the very rough ride from the speedboat. The skipper chose to be macho and speed at 40 knots. The waves were medium but the high speed made the boat fly and land very hard on the water like it was concrete. Of course the boat didn’t have shock absorbers to soften the landing. My lower back hurt in the ride. He also played hip hop and fast club music so he can go fast. I got…”

Guides such as Sanja and Gabriella add local context.

“Fantastic tour! Sanja was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable, and Ado was an excellent driver. The bus was very comfortable. Krka National Park is worth a visit, and the wine tasting is a must. The small family-run winery produces high-quality wines, and their olive oil is among the best I’ve ever tried. We had enough time to explore the park, everything was well planned. Thank you! :)”
